‘In Case You Missed It’—- ‘Khan Academy’ May Be the Future of Education…Online

What if every classroom had a computer at every student’s desk.  Some believe this is where we will soon be. Until then whenever your kids are at home working on those quadratic equations, or that American Civics homework have them check out www.khanacademy.org. Khan Academy is a no- for-profit organization started by former hedge fund analyst Salman Khan. Khan Academy is backed by the Gates foundation and Google and  has the “goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere.” It’s truly a remarkable yet strangely obvious concept.  Tutoring through the internet.  What does set this apart how it’s doen and that teachers are using this to supplement curricula in classrooms across the country. Take some time and check out this video demonstration facilitated by Mr. Khan himself.
