I had the opportunity this morning to sit on a panel speaking about a film called, The Last Mile by Sundance Award winning filmmaker Ondi Timoner. The Last Mile, is a program in San Quentin prison that is designed to help prisoners develop businesses so that when they are released they can be self-sufficient and potentially ask for investments. Programs and films like this help facilitate the real change each community needs by challenging the way things have been done with innovative new solutions. But it all starts with someone who decides to use what they have. Pleeeease take time to check out these guys on The Last Mile!
